In September 2017, I wanted to add some real spice to our half a month in Spain. I needed a place off the beaten path, that was close to Spain. Besides, it had to be accessible by train, bus, or a cheap flight from Madrid or Seville. Just across the Mediterranean, lies Morocco. I chose Marrakech because I remembered it from a ‘Sex in the City’ movie…the one where they go to Abu Dhabi. Bourgie girls in adventurous Morocco…right up my alley.
Marrakech was loud, spicy, fragrant….it was ALIVE!
